What Your Dental Insurance Plan Covers

When using insurance, it’s important to confirm what percentage of your care is covered under your plan and what percentage you’ll have to pay out of your own pocket. Cleanings and checkups are often completely covered; meanwhile, minor restorations often receive up to 80% coverage while major restorations are usually closer to 50%. Cosmetic services aren’t normally included in a dental plan, but there are sometimes exceptions if there’s some significant health benefit that the treatment has to offer.
